Karachi(Cliff News)Thespianz Theater Presents A Humorous Urdu Theater Play “Jama Poo..nji”.The play is based on a heated and critical theme focusing on socio-economic issues of the middleclass and upper middleclass segments of a third world society where different negative factors such as lack of education and awareness, and lawlessness have threatened the smooth flow of business and investment process. The story of the play spins around a middleclass family Mr. and Mrs. Nazeer are middle-aged couple with two adolescent sons Zain and Qasim that is caught in an enigmatic and conflicting situation after the family chief Mr. Nazeer retirement from Pakistan International Airlines. The amount received after Golden Shake hand has to be invested properly, wisely and securely and Mr. Nazeer is inherently a salaried employee who doesn’t have any experience or knowhow of business and investment policies. First, the amount is deposited in a bank where it doesn’t bring fruit and starts getting devalued. The family ponders over the problem and the possible solutions. Mrs. Nazeer wishes to invest the money in the business of her brother’s friend Nazakat who boasts of his successful trade and professional excellence. He is basically a fraud and cheats and adds comic situations to the plot by speaking foolishly and acting humorously. The elder son dreams that her mother has secretly handed over the whole amount to her brother for investing in his friend’s company that proves to be a scam and fraud. The son awakes with a physical as well as mental jolt and starts his efforts to stop his nightmare from coming true.During the process the brother of Mrs. Nazeer receives a severe shock of financial loss after giving his friend 100,000 rupees for monthly profit and, consequently, and keeps his sister from handing over the money to that fraudulent figure. The family makes a plan to catch the culprit red-handed and, finally, hands over him to the police after a session of thrashing. In the end, the sons, being well aware of the modern world and its requirements, advise the parents to invest the savings in state-owned and secure organizations like SECP and the whole family gets a sigh of relief and smile of contentment.
