Dow University wins the best Scientific Poster Award at ABSA Conference, USA

Karachi(Cliff News) Dr. Saeed Khan, Associate Professor in Pathology & Additional Director (DDRL, DRIBBS & IBMS) representing Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) win best Scientific Poster Award at the ABSA 59th Annual Biological Safety Conference organized by American Biological Safety Association (ABSA) at Texas, United States of America.The International Conference comprised of three full-days of intensive pre-conference courses to educate and inspire state-of-the-art keynotes, papers and panels highlighting best practices and hands-on skills crucial for biosafety and biosecurity professionals. Exhibition showcasing latest technology in laboratory of biosafety and biosecurity products and services. Invaluable networking opportunities to share and learn from other biosafety and biosecurity professionals. Hundreds of scientists and biological safety experts from around the world participated in this conference from all over the world to present their research in the form of papers and posters.Dr. Saeed Khan presented poster entitled “Training improves biosafety practices among healthcare workers: A Three years personal experience” was selected as best scientific poster after reviewed by a panel of judges and experts. The poster was visited and very much appreciated by a number of participants and showed keen interest. The participant also asked queries related to the poster and status of biosafety practices in Pakistan. They were glad to know that Dow University is following the international biosafety standards and focusing on the training of the healthcare workers.A certificate and Shield was awarded to Dr. Saeed Khan for winning the best poster award during the award ceremony.  DUHS Founding Vice Chancellor, Prof. D Masood Hameed Khan appreciated Dr. Saeed Khan efforts for this achievement.
