UNIDO Heading to Meet the DeadLine of GCIP 2017 Awards,Starts Applied Now

Karachi (Cliff News)United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is managing a programme called Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP), which includes a global competition aimed at promotion of Innovations in the area of Clean Technologies. This global competition is simultaneously carried out in seven countries around the world, the main aim of this competition is to foster innovations in Renewable energy, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Waste to Energy and Green Building. The target market of Cleantech competition is SMEs and Startup companies. This programme involves extensive mentoring, training, access to investors and opportunities to showcase their innovations. Winners will be given prizes ranging from US$ 15,000 to 20,000 plus mentoring and training in Silicon Valley, USA.This year, the GCIP competition in Pakistan offers an additional opportunity to win a cash prize of $ 15000 for cleantech solutions to industry challenges as “Industry Challenge Award 2017.”The applicants can apply for general categories as mentioned in Page 1 and also for the Industry Challenge Award as mentioned in Page 2.Both competitions are open for applications from SMEs and Startups for their innovative cleantech solutions in response to the current challenges of Pharmaceutical and Steel industries in Pakistan.
