Google releases the list of most popular Pakistani YouTube Ads of 2018

Karachi(Cliff News)Google today released its YouTube Ads Leaderboard for Pakistan for the year 2018. This list represents the top 10 ads and branded content people chose to watch on YouTube through a combination of popularity and promotion.According to an Ipsos research, YouTube is the number one online video streaming platform among millennials in Pakistan with it reaching 80 percent of online millennials residing in metro cities in Pakistan. According to another research by Kantar TNS, 73 percent of online Pakistanis watch YouTube every month.

Karachi(Cliff News)“Adab Festival Pakistan (Adab Fest), opening at 315 pm on 1 February 2019, is a tapestry of literature and culture that will promote and nurture talent in writing, research, music, art, dance, theatre, etc. We want to make this a movement throughout Pakistan and get other people to organize their own festivals, and we will try to help them do so in whatever way we can” These thoughts were expressed by Ameena Saiyid OBE, SI, Chevalier des Ordres des Arts et des Lettres, Founder and Director Adab Festival Pakistan, at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club today. The Adab Fest will be held on 1, 2, 3 February 2019 at the Sindh Governor House Karachi, the historic location where Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah took his oath as Governor General on 14 August 1947, and where he lived and died. Entrance will be from the main gate on Aiwan e Sadar road. On most days entrance into the Governor House is not allowed except for Sundays when it is open to the public, but for Adab Fest the Governor House will be open to the public for from 2 pm to 9 pm on Friday, 1 February, and from 11 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday, 2 and 3 February.Ameena said that they had rented the YMCA across the street to ensure plentiful parking for those coming in cars, and that Careem will be offering 15% discount off their fares to a maximum of Rs 80 per ride, to anyone using the promotional code AdabFest to come and go from Adab Fest.Ameena Saiyid said that in addition to building strong linkages with academia including LUMS, Habib University, and IOBM. Jazz reducing electricity line losses with GSMA,CISNR and PESCO

Islamabad(Cliff News)Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital communications company, has been awarded the prestigious GSMA Mobile for Development Utilities Innovation Fund, launched in June 2013 to test and scale the use of mobile to improve or increase access to energy, water and sanitation services.The grant was awarded to Jazz’s for their “Energy and Line Losses Reduction in Pakistan” idea in collaboration with Centre for Intelligent Systems & Network Research (CISNR) & Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), which uses an indigenous solution developed by their partner, CISNR, to address the biggest issue being faced by local power distribution sector; line losses and electricity theft. Jazz has been successful in securing the seed grant after an extensive evaluation and due diligence exercise carried out by GSMA among multiple organizations from various markets. Not only telecom operators but technology innovators and development organizations from Africa and Asian regions were part of the competition, as well.“Empowering customers digitally is no small feat and requires constant reinvention and innovation. This is another commitment to that philosophy to address ease for masses as they access important utility services,” said Ali Naseer, Chief Corporate and Enterprise Officer – Jazz. Farhan debut album echoes out Feb 22,2019

But his older sibling had gone and had been killed in the massacre. When I read that story I thought it must be such a strange dilemma for a young boy – ‘that could have been me in place of my brother.’ So just that thought got me writing, and I wrote ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’ from the perspective of that younger brother.”From mothers and fathers to children and siblings of victims, the pain is felt throughout a family and community. ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’ is Farhan’s latest endeavour to tackle the maltreatment of women in line with his ongoing commitment to use his worldwide profile to spread awareness of gender inequalities and the need to end violence in order to empower women and girls in every corner of the world.A hugely successful and influential figure in India, Farhan is an actor, screenwriter, director and producer with countless movies to his name. He has also flexed his musical muscles before – not least playing the part of the front man of a rock band in the critically acclaimed film Rock On!! (2008) – but he’s been keen to record his own album for a long time.
