Despite the misleading and outright false accusations carried in certain media outlets recently, ToTok has seen an outpouring of support and trust fromtens of millions of users, including more than 20 million who continue to use the app regularly.The message to our users and everyone around the world is, “ToTok is still going strong”, the statement added.While we disagreed with the removal of ToTok from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, we have implemented every specific change requested by both Apple and Google. We remain eager to cooperate with the two companies to get ToTok back in the app stores for good.Our company has sought and continues to seek a dialogue with Apple and Google by calling, emailing, and reaching out on social media, inviting the two companies to visit the ToTok office in Abu Dhabi. Regrettably, there has been no return communications from Apple since January 7, 2020 and from Google since February 15, 2020.The statement further added that “the time to resume dialogue and cooperation is now. As the global community battles the widespread outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), schools, universities, and offices around the world are closing to help contain the virus. Teleworking and remote learning have suddenly become the norm in many parts of the world. As an app with superior audio and video capabilities, ToTok calls on Google and Apple to work with us to make it easier, not harder, for people around the world to communicate.”We would also like to assure our users, and the global community, that our app is secure, safe to use, and remains free for everyone. Until ToTok is back on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, the app remains available for download to Android users on ToTok’s official website (https://totok.ai/download-android), through the Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo app stores, or via popular third-party stores such as Apkpure, UpToDown, Aptoide, GetJar, Softonic.

Lahore(Cliff News)Day 1 of the two-day programme of 64th Children’s Literature Festival CLF culminated here today at the Children Library Complex Lahore, with 1000s of children, teachers and families participating with great spirit in over 50 sessions. CLF is the largest children’s learning festival of the country! Graced inclusively by government, private, and special schools it is created a positive narrative for learning through feelings and inquiry for ALL in Pakistan. Nearly 10,000 children attended the festival on the first day.Punjab Minister Food, Sami ullah Chaudary inaugurated the 64th Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) cutting the ribbon of a beautiful installation celebrating the theme and tarana of the CLF “Hamein Kitab Chahiye”. The festival’s inauguration at the CLC Main Ground or the “Walled City Lahore Gardens – “Nai Reesan Shehr Lahore Diyan” mesmerized the entire audience with brilliant renditions by the children from Government Special School Choubarji and Shahdab School, two young authors who share their writings in Urdu and English, and the Sanjan Nagar School students of Faiz Ahmed Faiz poetry. The Minister whilst presenting the CLF Awards to longstanding CLF unique resource persons said. “Today is a very special day for me; I want to be a child once again- let us all work for the learning beyond the narrow text books culture”. Commenting on the event, Ms. Talat Fatemah Naqvi, member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab said, I am just awe struck at the scale and beauty of this festival – the only one of this kind in Pakistan.Earlier Dr. Fauzia Saeed, Director General Pakistan National Cultural Academy (PNCA) invited as the Guest of Honor, said that CLF is a powerful platform that celebrates diversity and learning! Packages Mall hosts Pakistan biggest shopping festival

The month-long festival commenced on 30th November 2019 and went on till 28th December 2019. Along with the festival, Packages Mall also officially launched the Packages Mall magazine and app (available on iOS and Android) on 27th December 2019.Packages Mall Shopping Festival featured LIVE concerts by the iconic singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on 21st December and Ali Sethi on 27th December. This was the first time a Pakistani mall had hosted a concert on a big scale. Pakistan’s top gaming start-ups from Game Launcher pitch investors in Singapore

Singapore(Cliff News) Seven of Pakistan’s top game developers pitched their gaming products to renowned investors at Google’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore to raise capital for scaling up their games. These game developers were chosen through a Google-partnered ‘Game Launcher’ cohort of Telenor Pakistan’s famed digital start-up accelerator program ‘Telenor Velocity’.In presence, at the Google Launcher event, were the world’s top gaming industry talent, technology leaders, as well as renowned investors. A day prior to the pitch gathering, top three of Pakistan’s seven teams, OT Ventures, The Knights and Big Alpha, were announced and were given the awards by the Pakistani High Commissioner to Singapore, Ms. Rukhsana Afzal.“To strengthen and transform the local gaming community in the country, Telenor Pakistan has made serious commitments and a testament to these efforts is Game Launcher,” said Sardar Abubakr, Chief Digital & Strategy Officer Telenor Pakistan. “The potential in Pakistan’s remarkably booming gaming industry is immense and Game Launcher is an effort by Telenor Velocity and Google to provide a platform to ambitious game developers and guide them on how to scale their ventures. PCB partners with Uber for ground breaking girls school participation program

Lahore(Cliff News)The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today announced a partnership with Uber for the development of girls’ cricket at school level across the country through its Cric4Us Programme.The six-month partnership, which commences from the day of signing, will benefit more than 1,500 players through collaboration with schools in 14 cities namely Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Charsadda, Haripur, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Mardan, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Nowshera, Peshawar, Quetta and Rawalpindi.Under the six-month partnership, playing and training clothing will be provided to 850 children, while cricket equipment will be provided to 50 schools.The programme will select a minimum of four schools in every city.With women coaches and mentors given priority, 50 school-based sports staff will be provided training. Twenty-five pitches will be developed in schools across five zones.PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan: “For the promotion of women and girls cricket and the enhancement of the player pool, it is imperative that women cricket is developed at school level.“The PCB has been undertaking many initiatives through its Cric4Us Programme and plans to exhaust all avenues to provide better opportunities for girls to take up the sport and to see it as a viable profession at a later stage. “I am hopeful that this valuable partnership between the PCB and Uber will help us in achieving this very goal.
